This session covers free, tangible library resources teachers can bring into academic, ESL, or CTE classrooms to support learning for adults and their families.
Attendees will learn about the library's online high school diploma, online tutoring, resume builders, language learning, job test prep, support for the family, and online classes. Focus will be on resources that teachers can integrate in their classroom or share with their students immediately.
I work in the Office of Education and Literacy, which oversees the Adult Literacy Program at all 73 library branches citywide, as well as the Career Online High School program.
I'm a Librarian in the Office of Education and Literacy at the Los Angeles Public Library. My office is part of the Department of Lifelong Learning, and we have innumerable free resources available to adult learners and educators.
